My 400ex has alot of pep in first gear, i can slam the throttle and it responds nicely, but when i go to do it in any of the other gears it misses, and the response isnt as good, does anybody know what the problem might be? My 400 is stock, and im thinkin about getting an hmf pipe, i dont know if i should get a full or a slip on, and does anybody know where the best place is to order them in Canada?

if your unhappy with the power try dropping a tooth it the front and putting it in the rear (gear sprockets) making it 14 38 or something like that. i did it to my stock 400 and am VERY pleased with the performance!! IT PULLS LIKE A DRAG RACER!! but it drastically reduces the top end but who cares:mad:

Just a FYI, that 2005 400EX's come with a 14 tooth sprocket up front already.

Ordered my 13 tooth tho and will have it on tomorrow.
