my rim is bent evidently and it won't hold air around the bead. I'm lookin at new rims. is .190 a ton stronger than .125 or would .125 be an ok thickness. I'd say I'm a pretty agressive rider but I only weigh 140. I don't want these to bend so what doyou guys say?

If you dont want your rims to bend, I would go with hipers. They are a ton of money but, I have the 190s and they bend pretty easy. If you want cheaper go with maybe the baha style with the reinforcement rings welded in. But Im kicking myself for buying the 190s. I would just bite the bullet and go hipers.

I would not get the .125 these are used for sand only .190 will work ok for an average rider you might look into a DID dirtstar rim for $75 they are a rolled edge rim look real close to the stock ones.

C&D racing gave me a real good price on hipers. I would talk to them for prices and im probably going to take them up on the deal.

I found the dirt stars for 60 bucks so I might look into them. Is Douglas a reputable company? I'm look at one of their rims that's .190 and it's only 43 bucks. I guess the reason I'm asking is because the DID's said that it's OEM quality. if the douglas' are the same quality then I'll save myself a few bucks and get them

If you bent a stock wheel, don't get a wheel that doesn't have a rolled edge. You would be moving down the ladder of strength. The Dirt Stars are basically the same as the stock wheel. They are strong b/c of the rolled edge. Wheels with reinforcement rings are stronger than just the rolled edge. Then you have Hipers. Oh so nice. Too bad I can't afford them.

The $43 Douglas wheels don't have the rolled edge like the DID and stock rims have. They may have the same 'OEM quality' but not the same style.;) Damn marketing departments.

Unless you ride sand or you only ride around the yard, leave the non-rolled edge, non-reinforced, non-beadlock wheels alone.

well if you bent the stock rim and want something stronger go with the 190 stock is about 160 and is suposebly very strong. i think hipers arent worht it unless you are a really really competitive racer that cant afford any type of mishap during a race. i liked my douglas .190s with beadlocks and never had a problem with em. and im not sure but i think the champion beadlocks would be really strong because they have that extra ring in the middle.

Stock honda wheels are made by D.I.D, the company that makes Dirt Stars. I'm not sure if they're 190, 160, or whatever...but typically, when you are talking about the size like that they don't have rolled edges. Stock Honda wheels have rolled edges.

If you're talking about beadlocks...thats a different story. The beadlock ring helps reinforce the wheel.

Hipers are good b/c you'll never have to buy another set of wheels as long as you buy a quad with the honda lug pattern. I think all the newer quads use the honda lug pattern except Yamaha and the older predators.

I've been lookin around ebay and they seem to have a lot of ITP T-9 aluminum "race" rims. are these of any quality?

t9 aluminum is a .190 rim doesn't have a rolled edge, it is basically a .190 douglas but the .190 douglas seems to be stronger

alright so I'd still be better off with the DID's cause of the rolled edge
