I'm looking into getting a arms on my 300 but my budget isn't very big... I have wroks dual rates on the front and I want to put 400ex +2's on the front that will give me an overall of +8 on the front end and now with my wheels flipped I am running a total of +5 but I'd like to turn my wheels back around because I don't think it handles quite as well like it is... I also want adjustable ball joints to tilt my wheels in on the top for MX racing...

I'm just looking for some feedback or someone who has done the same thing to know how it works or the downfalls to it...

first off, you cant use standard 300ex shocks on 400ex a-arms. You would have to buy new shocks also.

Another thing to think about, if you ride for a long time or race MX, you will be DEAD TIRED. Bumpsteer is going to kill you!...I ran 400ex +2's for a year then i switched to Burgar 300ex +3's and they were much much better, save up your money man!

It's only 75.00 more then I was wanting to spend for the burgard +3+1.... could I still use the same shocks if I put those on?? what about my brake lines??

No matter which ones you get you need new lines. And your not gunna be able to use your shocks on the 400ex arms. You will need to revalve them for the +3's, they will be WAY too soft, you will bottom all the time.

you could use the same shocks if you put the 300ex plus 3's on, but they will be really soft until you get them re-valved

Don't do it man! It's not safe. It's like trying to get it on with a fat chick. You may think it's all fun and safe, maybe even think she handles pretty good. But you're really just gonna get worn out faster trying to hold onto her and you'll prolly get hurt if that ***** decides to roll over on you!

LMFAO!

That's funny right there I don't care who ya are!
Seriously the conversion is a VERY bad idea. Stick with parts made for the 300ex and you'll be much happier;)

Stock for stock the 400ex a arms are only one inch wider on each side than a 300ex. so +2 400ex a arms would be like having +3 300ex a arms. true i wouldnt use the 300ex shocks at all. Thats why i have 400ex shocks on my 300ex.(soon to be 450r shocks) I am also running burgard +2 300ex a arms with 400ex spindles and hubs. It all works great for me. Just have the right shocks for your setup and youll be fine.

thats soemthing else i wanted to say. it wont give you +8. My 400ex +2's, were actually about 1/2 narrower than my 300ex +3'2..

actually once my shocks were tuned in right, the 300ex/elka front end sat higher than the 400ex/TCS front end...
