400ex Edelbrock Quicksilver carb in a 300ex?

Does anybody know if a 400ex Edelbrock Quicksilver II carb will fit in a 300ex? is this good for the engine? from the website it looks like it gives it like 5hp with an exhaust? is this true? Do you think it is good or bad?

what are your mods.....my bet is that the 400ex quicksilver will be overcarbing your 300

too much air stock 35mm older 400ex carb would work good

ok thank you ill look out for one do i have to do anything else to get it set up right? will a rev box help?

wouldent worry about a rev box,,, carb and pipe should be pretty good for now

There all the same bore. They did change they way they vent in between 00 and 01.
