Sorry to offend you but your bike is a 400ex, You would be lucky to sell it for $4000. You know that as well as I do. I understand how much you have in your bike but you'll never get that money back out of it. Do you think I only have $9500 in my bike. The Shocks alone cost $2900. Your 400ex is only worth about $3000 to me. I gave you an offer, just like you gave me. Did you think I would just trade you even up.....
I have 2 450r's and this YFZ. A 400ex isn't a competitive mx bike, I would have to try to sell it.
Sorry you feel as you do, But I am not on crack;)

it's more about the rider than the machine when it comes to competitve. besides a modified 400 will hang with the 450's.
I would buy a new one before I would give you what you're wanting to boot:blah:

This is true in the C Class..... But once you make it to a certain level of competition a 400ex isn't going to work. Regardless go buy a new one and build it like this one. It will take you 2-3 months and cost you 14K.

By the way your Modified 400ex will not hang with a 450r with two equal riders. I started racing on 400ex's. I had a LRD 440 national motor. It wouldn't run with my Stock YZ426 on a LSR chassis I built in 2002. In late 03 I bought a new YFZ450, put a slip on pipe on it and it would outrun the LSR 426 which had TC porting for the 03 season. I wasn't trying to upset you but you know what your 400ex can do and what it is worth. Yes you could run the C class and outride the other riders and win on your 400ex, but JOHN NATALIE wouldn't win the A class on a 400ex.

ur saying john couldnt win A class on a built 400 see i think he could considering that gust and jones are taking top 5 in the pro class on z400 's :ermm:

I say just let him try to sell is bike. And who cares about what a 400ex will do or not he is just tryin to sell his yfz.

just my two cents

That is exactly what I am saying. Have you rode a 400ex. It is not a z400.

Put John (possibly the best rider in the country) on the 416ex on page one of this post. Put him in production A at a national. He would not win that race.

Brady, This is fun...lol

It just keep bringing my post back to the top...;)

eager you need to grab a dirtwheels if you honestly think Jones with mechanic Curtis Sparks and Gust with mechanic Paul Turner are running 400 engines in those z's... you make it up to that level and only the best of the best will do... go watch a national on a track youve ran... think about what it owuld be like hanging with natalie for a lap... Nice YFZ dude.... still for sale?

ml450r

It takes alot to upset me. Maybe your 400 wasn't built to the potential it could have been. The 400's run in more than just the C class too. Maybe not at the nationals because just about everyone gone to the 450's (it's all about keeping the aftermarket world alive). And yes Natalie could win on a powerwheels:D
BTW, hope ya sell your bike
