my airbox is cracked on my 86 and i dont know if i should get an aluminum one or not. all i do with it is ride mx so would it hurt to run it w/o an airbox?

I think the aluminum boxes suck. Had one for awhile and went back to stock. Just too much mud and debree gets sucked into it...

What he said, But I would try to fix the stock air box for when conditions are muddy. A crack in plastic is not hard to fix.

Just mod your stock airbox to get a bit more air flow. Either get another stock airbox, or fix that one. I wont use aluminum airboxes cause I never hear anything good about them. I guess they have their time and place. MX track and Trail is not for them. They would probably work well for TT or dunes.

ill sell ya my stock air box. also if you are tt'ing or dunes just go with the ESR air box eliminator. it works great. just make sure you get a filter cover also

what is all in the ESR airbox elimator? can i just get a prefilter and get by like that or do i need the ESR kit

get the air cleener bracket at the botom of this page. it works great. get a waterproof outerwares too.

why not just go with the ESR its right here http://www.esr250.com/carburetors.htm#trxfilter it works great. just make sure to buy a waterproof outer filter tho. lol.

becuz the esr kit u need the filter eliminator and the rezzie holder which is 80$ right there not including shipping. the JRPM bracket does the same thing as both thouse pieces for 45$ shipped. its yur money though, burn it where u will.

do i need the filter eliminator b/c i made a bracket out of aluminum strapping and it doesn't move at all
