I am going to purchase a 416 wiseco piston kit with stage 2 hotcam , i was wondering should i get the 10:1 or 11:1 compression , i would rather have the higher compression ofcourse but i dont wanna run race gas or 50/50 , so how much power would i lose if i went with a 10:1 or maybe i was given false info about the type of gas to use with 11:1 , please help me , by the way i have a 2005 400ex with pro circuit full system , k&n with outerwear (no air box lid) , stage 2 dyno jet kit and a rev box.

get the 11:1 you can run pump gas on 11:1 as long as is 93 weisco compression isnt true anyhow,.,, id go with a JE 10.8:1 with XR400 gaskets

But i have heard some complaints about pinging noise when you run pump gas with 11:1

Just get the je and sometimes you do need to mix in 50/50 or less but won't having alot more power be worth it?Even with the je it will ping sometimes. My friends did.Just don't get wiseco if possible and defently not 10:1 unless you want stock power.;)

But i live in a very remote area and its would be difficult to obtain race gas everytime i ride (every weekend).

Just mix 1/4+ racegas then.It should bump up the octane to like 97+.

That way buy like 5-10 gallons a month of racegas when you go into town(depending on how much u burn).;)

I think there is a place not to far away that sells 100 octane , could i use that straight into the Quad with no mixing and how much does it usually cost per gallon?

JE 10.8:1 piston runs fine on 93 octane. I do it all the time.

Just the je's are more reliable and my engine builder won't even put in a wiseco.Ask some guys like cals400ex or rico and i'm sure they will tell you the same thing.

Yes 100 octane is perfect.;) You can prolly find the cam for around $100-125 but the stage 2 is actually the new stage 3.So just make it's the new stage 3.

You can run 93 on any of those compressions you listed.

side by side, the je and the ross are very similar. i actually run a thermally coated ross and i purchased the light piston pin also. the reason why i choose the ross over the je is because it is lighter. you will be able to run on pump gas just fine probably.

the 101 octane here goes for about $7 or $8 and close to $10 on the nights the drag stip is open
