Here's a few pictures of my 525 Raptor. I'm about 85% done. This is just the mock up. I still have a few more things left to fabricate such as radiator shrouds, weld on the front nerf bar mounts, still have to get a brake plate for my CRF caliper, and a few more things. I then have to pull the engine back out and finish welding the bottom engine mounts, and spray a little paint to keep everything from rusting. I'll ride it as is for the rest of the season to make sure it handles OK and doesn't crack up or anything, and then it'll come back apart for powdercoat.
In this first picture, I know it looks very high in the rear. This thing is so light now I have to put on a much lighter spring on the rear shock. It won't sag at all with this spring.

Ever seen a flip top subframe on a Raptor? E-start would have been super easy, but I had fun mking the kickstart work.

It's a 2004 model engine. I have about 20 pics but I have dial up internet so it'll take me about 2 nights to get them all up.
Thanks for all the compliments. I take a huge amount of pride in this bike. I built it all myself. It's nearly all custom made. I even built the muffler and most of the exhaust. The muffler is ugly (it's square), but it sounds and performs like nothing else. It has similar internals to a Flowmaster.
More pics to come.

Here's a closeup of the engine. The little bungee cord and chain release the fliptop. When it is finished it will be released by the reverse knob.
let me knwo how your kick start go's i would mind one for my craptor. how do you like thta front suspention? and how much wider are those laeger a-arms?

I got back brakes coming. I gotta get a brake plate for my CRF450 front caliper and some 250R rotor bolts. I haven't been too worried about that stuff untill all the welding and cutting is done.
This pic shows some of the heavy frame modifications I had to do to the frame to make the kickstarter work. I know the 45 degree miter in the midpipe cuts flow, but I don't have a bender yet. It's going to get replaced this winter.
thats so nice...what made you want to use a craptor frame?

I used a Raptor frame because I already had all the best suspension parts money can buy. Plus, it can handle the extra tall KTM engine. I am already used to riding it. It is super comfortable for me (I hate YFZ's and 450R's, they hurt my ***). Oh yeah, I can be assured that NOBODY will have a bike anyhting like mine.

Actually the chain is farther from the frame than it was with the 660. I still have to make a slider for the swingarm. The swingarm also uses a CR500 guide but I don't have it installed in the pics.

very nice, you must be really good with a welder, nice job on the kicker side but an extension would have cost you only $100.
What gearing are you going to run? I run 13 39 but I got a 6 speed, but for mx I rarly hit 5th. Should post some pics over at Ktmtalk. BTW KTM Europe is looking for engineers to desing an ATV!!!!
