My 400 is a tid bit lean on the pilot. Heres my simple question. The screw on the underside of the carb, is it an air screw or a fuel screw?.....I need to turn it out to richen the mixture right?

Thanks for your input fellas:D

Turn in it in to richen it. Should be the hard screw to get to, not the idle screw.

Yes, it is a fuel screw but you need to turn it OUT to richen. The fuel flow is restricted when you turn the screw in.

If a mixture screw is on the Air Filter side of the carb it's an air screw, if it's on the engine side of the carb, it's fuel.

On that note........out for richer, in for leaner.
