Pappy
04-24-2005, 04:14 PM
i believe you have to be 16 to ride at H/M:confused:

he could ride the 416 easily there, but after seeing some of the wrecks im not sure "MOM" will let me take him:p

tommy are your new aarms long travel like the set you had?

Tommy 17
04-24-2005, 05:43 PM
yep they use 18.75 long travel elka shocks...

i noticed one thing with these a-arms compared to the arens... these have a way tighter turning radius then the arens had... the arens for some reason wouldn't turn sharp but these new ones are almost like a stock quad...

Nothing about having to be 16. You just have to be with him Pappy.

Obey all user rules (see the handbook)

All trail users must have a valid Hatfield-McCoy Permit.

Everyone must wear a DOT, SNELL or other approved helmet and protective eyegear.

No passengers on any ATV unless the ATV is manufactured for the driver and one passenger.

No vehicle over fifty (50) inches in width is allowed on any trail.

No alcoholic beverages may be consumed or carried.

Obey all signs, gates, and barriers.

Stay on marked trails.

Only enter and exit the trail systems at a trailhead or town connector.

Do not enter a no trail, no entry or gated area.

Drive or ride at a speed reasonable for conditions.

No person shall drive an ATV unless that person meets the minimum age recommendation specified by the ATV manufacturer for the ATV that is being driven.

Motorcycles and ATVs must have a properly functioning muffler and USFS approved spark arrestor.

Stop when signaled by a ranger.

Carry photo identification at all times.

Adult supervision is required for those under age 16.

Do not litter.

Display user permit on your person at all times.

No fires. No camping on the trails.

The one about the age requirement isn't looked at real hard unless you have a 4 year old on a 500cc ATV. We took a couple outlaw rideres 2 years ago. Two 11 Yr olds, one on a blaster and one on a 300ex. We just didn't flaunt there age either if you know what I mean.:)
