Ok here is the deal, I know you have to change spindles, and calipers, but what about the tie rods? Has anyone done this yet. I can get everything I need for pretty cheap, but need to know if the stock tie rods off either model will work. I am worried that the length will be different.

Thanks in advance.

Should take 400 tie rods!

Does Anybody Know If 450r Arms Fit A 400ex, If not Why, And Can I Modify Them To Fit, Thanx

no they will not fit. The mounting points are wider on the 450. You would have to cut the brakets on the 400 frame and reweld them wider. I do not know if there is enough room on the frame to do that.

you don't have to cut the mounts, you just need to grind the bushings down a little and it will fit

I stand corrected. I didn't know they were that close, just that they didn't fit in stock form.

yeah it's almost the same as the 250R, the mounts are in the right place but the bushing are wider.

Have you done this personally?? If so I would like to see some pics of this, cause I'm pretty sure when I measured, the 450's a-arm width was like 2 inches wider. Please post some pics.

sorry I don't have any pics, I didn't do it personaly, BUT I know a guy that did, and I saw it run and it seamed to work good.
