250R variable exhaust

the 87' suzuki has that variable exhaust thing and when we bought it from this guy we dont know where it was set. is there a way to figure out where the factory postition is and adjust it from there??

if your talking about the adjustment on the left side of the cylinder that is just a powervalve preload.it lets you vary when the powervalve opens up.turning it in delays the opening and vice versa.over the years im sure its been played with,find a suitable setting for your style.:)
