how do you take the springs off stock shocks?

i was wondering if any f you guys knew how to take the springs off stock shocks? And if you do could you let me know how to do it,and how hrad is it to take them off. thanks!

you need to compress the spring (with a spring compressor) and remove the ring from the shock...the hardest part is getting the spring compressed...both when you remove it and install it...getting the right tool for the job will help.
