I just put on some Janssen +2 mx tech arms on my 2000 400ex. They look great except I think they are +1's. Stock width on a 400ex is 45.3 and I'm only getting 47.25 to 47.5 tops. I talked to Joel and he said that they don't make +1's for a 400ex and said that I needed to adjust out the heim joints to get the extra width. Well I adjusted them out to the point where it now looks like it would be dangerous to ride and I'm still only getting maybe 48".
I talked to 2 of my friends, and both of their +2 a-arms have the ball joints adjusted almost all the way in to the arm and they are getting 49" easily. This doesn't make sense to me that these arms of mine could be actual +2's. You shouldn't have to adjust the joints out that far to keep up with the width of other real +2's.
Has anyone ever had this with the Janssen +2's? I'm not sure what to do from here.
Thanks
Dan
