May go to Europe next summer

My girlfriend and I got invited to go with some friends to tour Europe next summer. I'll have to check on the specifics, but the tour is from June 4th-June 19th, 2006, and includes: England, France, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.:D It's expensive, but I've been dying to go for as long as I can remember.

Anyone ever been to Europe? What's it like over there? What did you see and do?

I encourage you to go. Your young and what would be holding you back? I love women with English accents, and my girlfriend hates it!;) The only thing holding me back would mainly be the cost. Being in college and not having a full-time job hurts economically. I figure that I'll use my tax returns from '04 to get me started, then I'll figure out how to earn the other 2/3rds.

I've heard that London and Paris where both really expensive. I was told that at a restaurant, a glass of water is something like $3-4.:eek2: Any truth to this?

Europe is expensive, but worth the trip. My wife and I went on a tour last year to Italy, France, and England. In Italy, you have to pay 1 Euro to use the restroom.

Me and a buddy have applied for tickets to the World Cup 3rd place game in Germany in July 06. So if we get the tickets, we will be off.

Round trip tickets and hotel will cost in the neighborhood of $ 1200-1500. Nothing fancy, but good enough for us. I think the drinking age is 18, but it might be 16?? Not sure about if you can smoke pot, but since I dont anyways, dont care. Still, I could always go to Amsterdam if i wanted to.

Tickets cost $175 apiece, which really isnt bad--- considering the price of NFL games (think NFC or AFC championship games, or superbowl prices:eek2: ) and compare prices.

I dont really have the money to make a Eurotrip of it, but imagine partying for a week with a bunch of hooligans. And you thought that riot with ron artest was bad. These fans are on a whole other level. (LIke in the news, a goalie got hit with some sort of small bottle rocket or something the other week over there in a game!!!:eek2: ) And athlets get pissed becuase our fans throw beer! sheesh........

I lived out there for 4 years..I travel from germany to spain..I had the Best time in my life out there.. I went to Amsterdan every weekend and Festivals...

I went to Europe , as a school trip...wasn't that much fun we had bad timing we left June 11th of 2002.

On some places you do..I remeber the first time I went to a public bathroom offf the air force base and the guy followed me outside..So I said What?? And he told me I had to pay..LMAO..but it's only like a quarter..

The only place I remember paying to use the restroom was Italy. I am not sure, but France may have done that also. In public restrooms they have one of those turn things that you have to go through after you pay. It is kinda like being at Disney.
