well I recently pick up a 2000 400 ex and this thing needs more power. My plans for now is to run the JE or Wiseco 10.8:1 piston (87mm) a web cam , WB Rev Kit, port and polish and 3 angle valve job, and Hard faced rockers. also installing the cam with the flywheel 6 degrees advanced . Using stock springs and retainers . also Modifing the carb

Bike currently has
walsh extended a-arms
extender swing arm +1
White Brothers e series exhaust
K&N jet kit and Filter 170 main ??? pilot jet 3 clip postion and no air lid
ElKa Suspension (well worth the Money)
ac front bumper
ac nerfs
stock gearing
durablue axle 2+2
ITP race reinforced rims with razr tires
Denton adjustable steering dampener
modified subframe (adjustable)

Using the cam the stock rockers take a beating
any difference in the JE or Wiseco Pistons ?

any suggestion ? anything at all ?

I wouldn't recommend the revbox. I got mine as a gift, & sometimes I still think I paid too much for it.

well I really have nothing to compare them to as they did come with the bike this thing handles like its on rails. no ball joint bind it uses a hiem joint instead all the way around

You get all that work and you should be right up there with a stock Banshee. I know , I been there done that.
And I would recommend the aftermarket rev limiter. With them mod's you'll be getting to the stock rev limit real quick. Depends on your riding type if you ain't going wide open at times than I guess ya wouldn't need it.

Contact For Dirt Only @740-967-1078 and go with his full 426 motor.

Well I agree it does need more Power. If you are Racing MX I would look at a TC, Sparks, or Duncan Motor Setup. Duncan is really Good and they are not backed up like TC and Sparks. You could also check out LRD.

As for the REV Boxes, I use the CDI off of a 1986 XR dirtbike. This CDI is the same as a stock 400EX with the exception of an additional 1000 RPMs. This box works well in my machine. This unit is ordered directly through your dealer. If I remember right, itll run you about 80 bucks.

Ive never actually had my own experiences with em, but I hear the WB rev box is a bad buy.

Good luck with your motor hoss!!!:D
