smoking 400ex

i have a 2004 400ex and i have a k&n air filter Rev box and air lid and 110 race gas(turbo blue). I have a 45 pilot and the dynotech 170 pilot the the clip on the needle on the 3rd spot and i have the air fuel screw 31/2 out. When i rev it and let of the gas a little puff of white smoke comes out. I dont think it is the rings because the oil level nevers goes down and its been doin it since feb/march when i switched to the 45 pilot becase it was running lean. Now that it is 80's here instead of 30's i am woundering what i should do. I am trying to get it ready for a race this weekend. It seems to run good no power loss i am aware of. Thanks pat

If those are your only mods u are payin too much for turbo blue.

with just an air filter and rev box with the lid on, a 146 DJ should be more than enough. your too rich on jetting. the race fuel is not helping you at all either.

i meant to say that i have the lid off. late nate. i know i dont NEED to run race gas but i like the exta power it gives me out of the turnes:)

your just throwing money away running race gas.it does sound like your on the rich side.
