I've got an 86 ATC 250r and was wondering can I run a 80/100w head light bulb w/o any problems if my electrical system is stock? The stock bulb is 55/60w.

I believe you have a 100W stator. But just because the stator is putting out 100W, that doesn't mean you can use all 100W for lighting. You still have other electrical components on your quad, and every system has losses.

I would give you a green light for 70W. 80W is pushing it, I'd be really careful, but you might be okay. 100W is definitely out.

I run 2 35watters and a taillight, it works pretty good for night riding and has been very reliable
