We are running the ITP Baja and Bead locks and want to add mud covers to the wheels so they dont fill up with mud. Who makes these and how are they mounted?
Thanks for the help!

hiper makes them for their rims but im not sure if you will find any for other beadlocks. have you thought about using foam inserts like stock cars use? they'd be real easy to make and cheap. find some colored foam of your choice and cut them to fit into the inside of your rims.

Ive ran the set from Nacs for several years with no problems. Just order them by rim size and they pop right in. $15 for 2

There is someone selling them on here in the for sale section. I think $8 shipped for a set.

Hiper makes some for the wheels they sell, I have been wanting a set for a while, but at $25.00 per wheel they are not cheap. I think they would make a huge difference though, keeping the heavy mud out of the wheels. It would make clean up easier also.

I am not sure if the Nacs style will work on the hiper wheels?

I probably could get some lexan and make my own. :chinese:

i'm definitely getting a set for my rears!! all that mud adds up in their after a while, plus they may prevent unwanted branches from tangling up in your wheels

Word of the wise to all who want mud caps. I have been just running the outside in the past and it does help a lil but as of recently i have had both inside and out and it makes a huge difference. Dont know how but the insides were building up alot and then through the hole were the wheel mounts to the hub the dirts gets to the outside of the wheel. Also makes it really hard to clean this way. So buy 2 sets and drill a 1-1/4" hole in the middle and put on the inside too.
