I gotta know what you all feel is the best mod for the money you all have spent on your Raptor. I've only done one so far since I haven't even had mine a week yet.

I did the 12T front sprocket the other day. Just the short ride I took on it, I could tell it really brought the Raptor to life on the lowend, it should be awsome in the trails now. For $15 you can't loose!

What do you all say?

i got about 5500 in my raptor as it sits (with a blow tranny) and the best thing i ever got for it was the LRD full exhaust or the +4 axle or the kenda klaws..and the best thing i have done to it is cut the fenders:o

Do the tires make that big of a difference over the stock tires?

Best mod for the money is definitely my Elka Piggy Back front shocks. Yes I know its alot of money but it really makes alot of difference

Blow tranny... Let me guess...2001??? I have been looking at Raptors and i know this has been an issue. How much does a tranny cost? Is this problem with all 2001? PM me or just reply back here. This has been a question weighing over my head. Thanks

If you buy a 2001 make sure it has the updated transmission recall. 02 and higher raptors dont have this problem. I would also make sure the owner has the paperwork to back it up!

How much is the update because all the 01 i look at dont have it done. If i were to get a 01, i want the update done fast.

How can you tell if you have the recalled update? I have an 01 raptor and its been great so far, but I want to make sure that it's not going to give me trouble. Thanks

I think it was for all the 01. I heard the transmission could be fine but just suddenly go on you. If anyone has more info, please post it or pm me. I have been looking at a couple 01 Raptors and need to know the facts. Thanks

I've seen transmission fixes costing as much as about $700. I would either try to get them to know some money off figuring that you will have to buy the '02 tranny updated parts, or look for an '02 and newer.

In my opinion my Pro Tapers have been my best mod. I like all the power I got from the Pro-flo and the Yosh system, but the extra width and lower profile of the Pro Tapers over the stock bars give me much more feel and comfort.
