Standing quads up for transport?

Honda says not to do it in the manual because of leaks and that you "may damage the ATV".

Yet I see people do it all the time. What is going to get damaged? I'm thinking of buying a cheap trailer I found, but it's 4"x8"... So to use it I'll have to stand both quads on end.

they say not to, cuz its "not safe" in their opinion. its not going to hurt anything. just make sure ur gas is shut off.... or even drained. the only thing that might happen, is u miht get a bit of oil to flow past ur rings into ur camber...... but just fire it up and the oil will burn out.

its fine. just turn your gas off and run the quad till it dies. also when you put it back down on all fours make sure you let it sit for 5-10minutes for all the oil that drained into the combustion chamber to drain out... well most of it anyway.
