?help? need to go faster

I just got a 440 put in my 400ex ( 11:1 compresion) and someone told me it will be so much faster if i put a carburater on it. I need some help on which one should i get. Thanx

Did you put in a cam at the same time? As far as carbs, the most prefered seems to be the 39mm FCR. You could also go with the Edelbrock 440 model. For a cheaper option you could also look into using a stock 450R carb on it(search this site for details). They require a bit of modifications to get them to fit on, but they show a similar horsepower gain as the FCR on a 416 on the dyno.. They may not rev as fast though.
