30-50 bux for the whole processes? like gaskets and stuff... if i bore it 80 over and i going to have to get anything else new to hold up with the more power?

The reason no one has replied, is because your are very vague on what info you want.

A bore job, which is just someone matching the cylinder to the pistion, will cost you anywhere from $35-$120 depending on the company doing it.

To get all of the work done for you, like installing the piston, gaskets, blah blah blah. Then that can range anywhere from $200-$3000 depending on what you want done and who is going to do it for you. Give some more info and I am sure people will be more than glad to give you info.

o, and i dont think boring it over.80 will make your stock 250's displacment a 330

i heard if i bore it .80 it will make my 250x a 330 so im not sure...how much is it to bore the jug?

all i need is weisco piston kit and a jug bore and a new gasket set to bore it right? or do i need to so somthing else?

oh and with a .80 bore would i have to get new valves or a new cam or anything to hold up with the bigger piston?

well, .80 over is massive. i have a feeling you were trying to say .080 over. however, that won't get you to a 330. i have a feeling it may be close to 300, without doing the calculations. with stroking, it may be possible.

the formula is:

bore (in cm) X bore (in cm) X stroke X 0.7854 X # of cylinders

well actually, i thought you had a 300ex, not a 250. so, you would be no where near a 330. you wouldn't even be a 300. if i knew the bore size on the 250x i would be able to tell you how much .080 over was. .080 over is approximately 2mm's. this actually isn't a ton. well, way more than a clean up bore but it isn't going to be gaining you more than 20cc's for example. you might be able to put a 300ex cylinder on and start from there and then bore it out. i am not sure if these two cylinders can be swapped or not. just do a bit of research.

well the 300ex and the 250x have the same bore sized the 300 just has a longer stroke...how much does it cost and what do you have to do to stroke an engine? cuz i have heard about people stroking there 250x to a 406 i dont wanna get into that much i just want to keep up with 400's or atleast be able to run with them

Check out their site. It should give you a good idea of prices for most engine modifications for the 250x.

Boring a 300ex .080 over makes it a true 300, so i dont think it would make your 250 a 300. I believe a 330 big bore kit for a 300ex will make your 250x around a 310, but i'm not 100% sure, thats just a guess.

A 80mm big bore kit is 330cc's on a 300ex and/or 288cc's on a 250x!!
