i was wondering if this is normal. my rocker arms have a slight wear on the inside and on top of retainers like there hitting. would that be normal or not. its also ticking from there and the valves are adjusted right. the motor has hardend valves and springs and a stage two cam. i kno the cam will tick but its kinda loud for me to believe that its right.

did you have it apart recently or did it just start to happen?

Do you see any "chroming" on the pads of the rockers, this is supposed to be a good thing. I'm not too sure on the wear you are describing. I trashed my stock rockers with a "drop in" Webcam and I didn't know the hardened rockers were required. I believe they are required with the majority of Wecams. Also the harder valve springs will increase the rocker/cam wear a bit over stock. This is why I run stock springs and replace them as needed (was informed by Lazarus at GT Thunder).

the chrome pad is good. its actually the arm part and its hitting the outside of the retainer. maybe i should put hardened rockers in. but i have no idea were to get them for a 86 350x motor.

you have a webcam without hardened rockers? webcams are made out of harder material than stock and hotcams, they need to have hardened rockers or the cam will literally eat the rockers up, and vise-versa will happen with a hotcam with hardened rockers...

as far as getting the rockers hardfaced, you can send them to web, megacycle, or most places that sell those cams, like FST, TC, etc.

is it the tip of the rocker, where the adjuster is, thats hitting?
