PA State Harescramble 4/24/05 Hurricane Hills

Its a district 6 and Pa State Harescramble championship race at Hurricane Hills Sports Center in Clifford Pa.........

Chris Borich, Matt Smiley and Rob Hertz finished 1-2-3 at the last PA State Rd. at the Flying Dutchman last week...
Its an off week for the GNCC's so I'm sure all the top guys will be there getting more seat time ..the track is awsome, come out and check it out!!

Randy Smith and Jeff will be up there from the senior class, they have been battling all season, I might be able to go up with them, I'll have to see what happens. :)

what is this track like? how would it compare to fling dutchmen?

I don't think it can be compared to Flying Dutchman at all. Hurricane Hills is more of an xc course some hills, Good ammount of rocks, some mx section mixed in, and gets a little tight in a couple sections. I like the course, but I like the course to be rough!

I can't wait for this weekend. First race since the 6hr race. I know I will be whopped by the end, but it will be worth it. I am breaking out the Z for this one. :macho

I heard the track is very rough from last year. I'll be there pending on the weather. Who knows, it could be sunny! A little bit of rain won't hurt for the dust, but last year was ridiculous.

Judging from the weather the track will be perfect.....last year there was a weeks worth of rain and winter melt off before race day, then it poured during the race!!:( .......................... this year should be better, its been dry for a week at least, and it will rain on sat............. should be perfect

Tomorrows weather I just got it from weather.com. Says high of 47 and partly cloudy and it is supposed to rain in the early evening. Showed like 6pm. Man I hope they are acurate!

Borich won Hertz was 2nd and Randy Brandt put a Cannondale on the final podium spot with 3rd in the Pro class.....I got 6th in Pro...:(

how was the coarse?muddy? i saw on weather.com yesterday morning that there was heavy thunder storms there saturday night so i bailed on coming.

I placed 9th in Open B. I was in 5th or 6th the first half of the race, then got passed by a few faster riders. Excellent track conditions, and accurate scoring this time. I'm looking foward to the next race there.
