Hey guys, I really want to make my 02 440ex street legal and need some help on what and where to get turn signals, street tires, and anything else you can think of, I dont have aftermarket a-arms and wouldnt mind getting some + 3's while im at it. So, any help and ideas would be great!! Thanks a bunch

You better check the local laws first. Otherwise you might be just throwing money away buying all this stuff. I am in Iowa and for some stupid reason a quad can't be street legal. I have seen in other states it is the same way and guys have made a new swingarm to hold 1 rear tire because a trike is legal(unsafe but legal). Make sure to check it out good first before going forward. Keep us posted on any info. Good luck!

Great Idea. I live right outside Washington D.C. in Virginia and plan on doing that research on monday. Thanks

I live in Indiana, and here we can ride them on County roads, as long as you have registration. I'm pretty sure we don't need turn signals, headlights, taillights, any of that. Just a number plate with your registration number. Kinda nice, since I kinda live in the country, whenever I feel like running to the local pop machines, I just hop on and go. Beats hunting up my car keys and stuff.

300ex73, Where in indiana are you? Im 10 minutes outside of fort wayne. Which is up northeast, in case you are from the southern part.

Yeah, we have the same problem here in Oklahoma. Any vehicle that is titled as an "ORV" can't be made street legal. The state won't "legalize" any vehicle that even LOOKS like a 4-wheeler. Sucks too... what with gas prices the way they are an all.

Heck, I'd throw some hoosiers on my quad and ride it to work every day if I could.

Little town called Greensburg. About 45 minutes west of Cincinatti.

Not all of Indiana is like that. In Clark County, they aren't legal on the county roads.

Well, after I put a cold air intake, Borla stainless steel dual exhaust, Stage 2 chip, and throttle body spacer, oh about a strong 8 mpg. :eek2:
