Air Box

I have a 95 300EX and it is all stock except for the uni racing air filter but any way can i drill holes in the air box lid with out doing anything else untill i pipe it and jet it? I was just wondering if that would give me more power because I'm a little low on cash right now? any susgestions would help....thnx:devil

I know 400s are set kind of rich from the factory so taking the lid off only wont really hurt anything. But you can always go to your honda dealer and just buy a single jet to go up one size, it will only cost you like $2.

I was reading an engine builders article the other day and he said that the 400's were set lean from the factory and should go up a jet size even if your not doing any mods,,,but he has a 300 so it could be different!!!

In the official Honda service manual (from www.helminc.com) it is clearly stated that the 400's come lean from the factory. It isn't a secret or a mystery at all.
