well first. what type of riding you do?? Cause. If you ride mostly trails. I would stick with the 300e. Or just use that money for a utility bike, seriously! I have a 450R. occasionally take it to trails, mud, all that rock stuff! I hate it, even tho the 450R is a atv. I wouldnt take it too rocks. mud. I would rather, take my auto clutch 1984 atc 200s! I have more fun! so i would think you would have more fun riding your 300ex in trails. with this said i would. save the 300ex. buy a utility. or sell 300ex. buy a utility. cough up some money buy a 450R.

the 450r is an awesome bike for the woods, if you can handle the power....coming from a 300ex, i think it may be a bit much. If I were you I would look into a 400ex.

Go with a 400ex! That will feel like a rocket compared to your 300ex.

The 450 is not a good trail bike in tight woods because 1st gear is so high. You would probably be happier with a 400ex and do some mods. If you get a new one they have reverse now!

all you have to do is drop a tooth and there is plenty of low end to lug through the woods
