Aftermarket seat latch Ques??

Hey,

I just bought a aftermarket seat latch and I was wondering for all you racers out there that has installed these before, if you have to cut the two prongs off the seat pan to bolt the latch up? I am guessing this is the only way you can get the seat latch to bolt up. And if you do cut the prongs off what did you use? I looks like the prongs are all metal. I'm guessing a sawzall.

yes, u need to cut the prongs off. i used a dremel. u can use a sawzall, hack saw or anything else that would cut metal.

I hacksawed the SOB off,,then filed it down so it would be smooth.:square

My stock ones broke off during a race so i just bolted up the plate and went.
