i give my 450r a half a kick and itll start awesome but a full kick itll take twice to start. i find it kind of funny but can anyone explain this?

i would say when your only giving it a half kick, when you press the kicker downs its hitting the compression stroke and firing right away.

When my bike is cold, I always slow kick it through a full cycle and stop when it's coming up on the compression stroke. A stong half-kick from there and she fires right up. I can't understand why so many have trouble starting this bike. This has worked for me even when it's 15 degrees out.
Go figure ??

Yea I never did have a problem either.. Mine would always start usually 1st kick or 2nd.... BUT at the Koontz race this past weekend it probably took about 25:mad:
