Need help w/ g-force axle

I've been trying to install the c-clip that goes along side the sprocket hub, and I've been working on it for hours now and I can't get it on..... I've even tried taking plyers and prying the clip open a little more, and I can get it on that way, but then I cant tighten it enough once it's on to hold the sprocket hub in place.... any advice would be appreciated..... thanks

you might try and take hammer and a piece of pipe that is larger than the axle and give a good whack, that is what i did to my friends g-force
