check axle bearings... all bushings. check for cracks or patched up spots on the cases. from the looks of the pic tho, looks like a good deal. :macho

see if the swingarm bolt come out easily. If it doesnt plan on spending 500 bucks on repairing the problem. Check all bushings and bearings. Grab the top of the front tires and pull and push them (to and from the quad) and if you feel wobble you have some shot A-arm bushings. Also look at the sellers house. Does it look trashed? If so the quad prolly was too. just most importantly-USE YOUR HEAD!;)

a 400ex swinger bolt is the same ... just cheaper. and I think my Pivit Works cheapo replacement was about $70. Ida say its about a 2bill fix at most, and just more of a pita to deal w/, but definitly do-able:D haha

Peej, dont be scaring the guy LOL;) :D

Haha,My quad is the nicest thing I got.House and yard look like crap.Spend everything on the bike, lol.Seriously the advice on the a arms is good also look at the silencer. If its dinged up the shock may be getting weak.Check the axle all over,as mentioned the bearings, but also the sprocket hub splines and the wheel hub splines. For 2800 it looks great and you could afford to put a little into it.

ask him the last time he replaced the bearings. you want it to be recent other wise your chain will come lose and crack your case. happened to mu cousin and almost to me

yep i lost two motors like that better put back bout 1000 dollars for the motor or get the bearing replaced also check the oil drain bolt make sure its not jb welded in ive seen alot of that and also check the cleaness of the air filter cause if it aint clean he didnt do regular maitenence on the bike also make sure it he has been mixing the gas right because if he has negleteed the engine from lubricant you might have to change a lot of stuff that is alot of money and trouble
