When you set the timing mark on T, did you make at least 2 complete revolutions first to disengage the automatic decompression? There have been alot of people that have made that mistake.

a tapping noise, or a pinging noise..?

a pinging noise usually indicates pre-detonation (a very bad thing).. what's your jetting set at..?

the sound is a pinging...i had a guy that works on motors everyday do it so i know that it's right...could it be the timing chain...im not sure of the jetting but i know that the guy that had it before me had the stage 2 jet kit from k and n....whatever size that is

is the pinging of predetonation or preignition all that bad for your engine?

if you say so then what can it do or what are the after effects of it!

It Will Eat The Electrode On Your Plug & Eventually It Will Put A Hole In Your Piston :(
