Ok as it sits I have an 04 450r. mods include
hrc camshaft
hrc lid and snorkle
pro designs velocity stack and K&N
Vortex cdi Yoshimura trs trioval full system
I am looking to put a 13:1 piston kit in it in the next 2 weeks, and since I am that far I am going to have the head ported and polished.
Questions...
where is the best place to buy the piston kit, and does it include everything to install it?
Do I need to upgrade my rod?
And how is the reliability on the higher compression pistons?
Will I need to go to a colder burning plug?
And what is most everybody doing for gas on this set up.
As it stands the way my quad is set up now I have a 195 main jet and I have EXTREMELY snappy throttle and it is running just a little on the lean side. Is there anything I should do for better cooling or will what I have work fine(stock)
