I am really thinking of painting my engine and I got some 500 degree high heat paint and i was wondering, would 500degrees be enough?

o0o yea if it ever got even close to 500 it would just melt the piston and every internal part you can think of yep that should work:D

Give it a more custom look and use some regular paint on the the cases. The cases don't get hot enought to do anything to the paint. Use high temp on the cylinder.

4 strokes get quite a bit hotter than 2 strokes

yea i wasnt too sure on 4 strokes but i know its easy on a 2-stroke i guess you would need the hitemp paint on a 4-stroke if you wanted to be safe:confused:
