Listen guys i am fudgin ticked i went to change my pads tonight and they wouldnt go in there so i said ok well i will put my old ones on and see if i can get the piston to go in any farther then i put everything back on and now i cant get any pressure into my pedal and they wont work....i have plenty of fluid and also there is fluid commin out where the parkin break connects to the caliper what is goin on here?!:huh :confused: :grr :grr :confused:

You have blown the o-ring on the back side of the piston. Let me guess...you still have the parking brake on!

is that why i cant get any pressure in there and why they aint workin i mean i know its cause the fluid is leakin but is that why also and **** yeah i still got it on i need to get a block off i am when i get the money

You can't get any pressure because the fluid is blowing by the o-ring. The parking brake adjusting bolt was adjusted to far in.

well i hate this damn bike it makes me so mad i am just gonna take my caliper off and go get a friends off his bike that he blew up:blah :blah :eek: :D :p

its amazing that honda can build us this quad and then turn around and put the shi@#iest parking brake known to man on thing!

honda did screw up on that... but i think they designed it to be romoved for racing purposes...

get yourself a $10 parking brake blockoff plate and take that dam* thing off! it sucks, to get the piston back in take the brake resivor off and take a big screw driver and arch it with that. it works. or push really hard with your fingers.

it happened to me but luckily your local hardware store will save me again they haveall those in stock for 15 cents for 2 while service honda has 1 for 2.00!

The best way to compress the piston in the caliper is to do it with 6" C-clamp. This provides even pressure across the piston face. Prying against it risks breaking something.

About the brakes not working after changing pads, that's fairly common. Even if you wouldn't have blown that seal you would've likely had to bleed those brakes anyway.

ok i bled them now they still dont have any pressure and i gotta go race this weekend HELP! quick and o rign was not busted
