Help on convincing My dad to buy us a 440!

OK guys, One of my friends step dad is selling his 440ex. I has a Hotcam stage 1, Wesico 440, Renthals, WB E-series slip-on, DG skid plate and Nerf's. I am not one of those kids that asks there parents for everthing, yes he helps me out ever now and then but not constantly. I work almost every weekend, and any other chance I get. If i had the money I would pay for it myself. He is trying to get 1,900 out of it, I have rode it there is nothing MAJOR wrong with it, It only needs some tires, and the skid needs to be bent back or replaced. This is a pretty powerful quad even tho my modded 300ex runs with it.:devil: I am going to offer to help pay him back, and do all mantanice. Is there anything else I could offer to help convince him? thanks

what i do is say they can take it out of my bank account then put it back with your own money if its going to be yours just get a job and slowly but surely flow all your cash into the bank :D

He only wants 1900 for the bike? Thats crazy; there must be something wrong with it. I dont care what year that bike is, its worth a bit more than 1900 I'd think. At least around here it is.

Convince your dad to do it, then just pay him back. Your dad's hesitant to do it maybe because 1) the price suspiciously low, and 2) He may be afraid he wont get the money back in a reasonable amount of time. I know how long it takes for a kid to make 2000--- it takes a long time.

tell him it is way to good a deal to pass up, you cant even buy a brand new stock 400ex for less than $5,000. if you do get it, get rid of that stage 1 cam and get the new stage 3, the other ones to small. just wondering how does your 300ex keep up with it? dont sound right.

My 300ex has motor work and is being fine tuned. If I do get it there will be a megacycle or web. Hotcam sucks IMO. Ive been begging almost everyday.

have you tried selling your quad and getting the 440?
