my problem with my 450 is that i need it to make 60hp! right now my 450 makes 59hp on stock carb. argggg- almost there!!

seriously, the 450r seems to be extremely well designed machine. One exception that i've seen is that the crank bearing is having some issues. Honda changed crank bearing manufacture and p'n for 04' to 05', but i've also heard (and seen) that some flywheels have left the factory unbalanced. Unbalanced flywheels on the end of a crank is like a little hammer on the bearing over time. every crank rotation comes with a little extra pressure on the bearing from the flywheel wobble. I'm not saying its a fact and cause of the failures, but I know that I've witnessed the same year quad have balanced drill mark its flywheel and the other same model year quad flywheel that wasn't balanced- hmmm. Also, because i've seen in the inners of this engine- it appears that the oil'n of the crank bearing isn't as good as you would think. Honda made sure that the oil squirts the underside of the piston, but only relies on a bath for the crank bearing,.... go figure. Anyhow, at least Honda has the oil jet for the piston underside- YAMI doesn't and requires modification of the inner cases to cool the piston from undernearth. LOL!

I put the rod through the cases. Besides that, it is an excellent bike. Chad502ex, got Falicon rod back in and engine back up. Started second crank. Runs good too. Gonna break it in today.

You should try the Pulse Charger exhaust chad. I'm sure you'll be way past 60 with that thing. :blah:

i'd like to "try" the PC, but i'm not spending the $ just to sample. The RE has already proven to me.

I could get it for cheap and send it to you for you to test :macho
If it didn't stick out so damn far I'd probably buy one, but I doubt it'll be any better than the TC exhaust

well my valve exploded because by piston went up and hit it.

i was going down off this hill and it was going pretty fast i guess and i was going around this turn and i was just about ready to #### into 4th but when i went to put my back under the shifter i hit and it went down into 2nd and it make the 4 wheeler rev so high that it made my piston go up and hit my valve
