Is it true that a stock Z400 has 11.3:1 compression ratio?? I find that kinda high for stock... wut the site says i guess. ... anyone know??

Yeap, that it's comp ratio. Originally the bike motor it is derived from has 12.2.1 compression, with the changing of base gaskets on the Z you get the same ratio. They used less on the Z but for what reason i don't know.

the reason they use the thicker base gasket to bring the comp. down to 11.3to1 is so you can run pump gas if you want to put the drz base gasket in amd raise your comp. you should run race gas or at least mix it 50/50 with pump gas it is a cheap easy way to get more power

Not true...you can run pump gas up to 12.5:1 compression, maybe a hair higher.

FYI...octane has nothing to do with power...it stops pre-detonation.

No but higher compression has everything to do with more power.:D
