There was a thread on this part a while back, I think we all decided it was a POS modification.

It would add massive bump steer, screw up your shock leverage ratios, and play havoc with your stability.

yea thats what i was thinking. I would definately get some wider arms over the kit. but i did look interesting.

Arn't they going for like $120-150 or something..... For that your better off with used aftermarket a-arms.... I picked up a set of used Denton +2 A-arms for $180 shipped, just shop around alittle and you'll find a good deal:)

I have one on my 250ex an it works great. yea it looks weak but those would be hard to even bend. there thick. I have had mine for a year with no problem and i only paid like 50 for mine. Also that was the only way 2 widin a 250 a year ago.

Those add a ton of bump steer to your front end. I feel if you are 2nd gear trail riding with your grand parents, your good. Any thing else I feel that they are not safe and will take the bars right out of your hands if you hit something hard. So it is cool to save money just be safe.

They dont have any more bump steer then stock, I would tell any one to get them if they want a cheap way to widin a honda, and actually i dont care what you all think it not like any of you have tried it, so dont argue or think some thing is bad by what you think it is

no bumpsteer... then explain this...

look where the red line is vs the green line... the tie rod mounting point vs the a-arm mount... now move the a-arms threw their travel and notice how much of a toe change u get... totaly differnt arch patterns which cause the a-arms arch pattern to be shorter then the tie rods arch which changes their lengths...

look at the tie rod to a-arms relationship they are the blue and pink!

now this is a correct front end geometry!

Nice explanation Tommy, you are 100% correct.

Not to mention by moving the pivot point of the a-arm further out and tying the braces to the original pivot point, the amount of stress applied to the frame greatly increased. It's a simple principal, the longer the lever, the greater the force.

Longer a-arms hold this critical factory pivot point, complimenting the rigidity of the frame.

If you start to get into the engineering of a frame, the closer the bottom tubes are together, the better. Less plating is required to keep the tubes working together in the same horizontal plane and the thickness of the metal can be decreased. The relationship of the inner tie rod end and a-arm pivot point is also improved. As Tommy explained, the closer those pivot points are (in a vertical plane) the better.

I'm sure you could have somebody bend your frame with a pry bar if you really want to, it will be the same effect as installing that eBay money maker.

Wheel spacers are equally as dangerous, but in the end, they damage cheaper parts on your quad.

It all depends on how you ride:
If you ride the bike like you should, (BALLS TO THE WALL) that crap will not last and niether will you.
Now if you ride like my 5 year old on his 50 you may be albe to get away with it.

anyways i just use if for a pit bike so its not like im haulin on it so im not gunna worry about it. Still works good for 50 bucks, better then paying 525 for the only 250ex aftermarket arms
