There are a lot of differences, atleast to my knowledge.

one frame houses a 2 stroke and the other a 4 stroke...so you better believe there is going to be differences

There is nothing that is the same about them , except that they are made out of square tubing. The only things that would interchange would be the bumper, and that might need a little bending and mabey the a arms.

the front geometry is about the same except the shock mount location and the a-arms will bolt up (they wont work right tho)

I own both. They are radically different.
The only reason I can figure that you might be asking is because you have a 250X, and you are thinking about putting a 250r motor into it.
Forget it, it won't be anywhere NEAR a direct drop-in. If you want an easy, powerful conversion for the 250X, look at the 350X. It's as close to drop-in as you're gonna get.

correct me if I'm wrong, but also, doesnt a 250r have a sub-frame unlike the 250x?

250r does not have a subframe
