Buying a "Z"

Well, I am in the market for a quad and the "Z" has really caught my attention. I have a line on an '03 Alba Z for $5k, which seems kind of high to me, but it supposedly only has 15hrs on it and was ridden lightly by his girlfriend. What should I look for and what would a fair offer be on price?

Oh yeah it has paddles and he still has the knob tires.

what mods does it have? look at the front shock mounts and see if there is any cracks in the powerdercoat or rust...
