I have a 2002 300ex and have motor work done big bore cam do you notice that much difference to buy one and does it add that much speed in high rpms?
it helps in a drag race or a situation like that, where you can powershift and not worry about hitting the rev limiter which basically stops you dead. or if you miss a gear and want to hold the rpm a bit longer like off a jump or up a hill. as far as top speed goes, depending on your pipe, cam, and gearing, if the motor will pull up top, then you can definitely pick up some extra speed. it sounds like you have a beefed up vavletrain that would handle the extra rpm, so i would say yes, its worth it.
