sometimes my neutral light dont work??

i have a 99 300ex and sometimes the neutral light dont come on and even if i pull in the clutch it wolnt start so i have to put it in neutral?? what can i do??

ok, i would check ALL the wires in the headlight assembly and the wires goin into the clutch perch, there all have little plugs and sometimes its as simple as one coming loose

not sure if theres one on the 300 but look for a wire going into the case by the shifter..pull it off and clean it..sometime my 400 will be in neutral but the light won't come on

;) Down beside the brake pedal you will see a metal cover with two wires running to it,remove the two bolts holding the cover . You will see where the wires plug into the side of the case ,this is your rev. and neutral indicator switches clean these connections. I ran into this problem with my 96 300.
