I have an 04 450r with hrc kit and i was wondering what some of you think about the different shock settings for stock 450r shocks. I weight about 150 lbs and the settings are at stock but my R keeps wanting to buck me off so someone please help me with settings

Get use to it. Most people know that this is one of the downsides to the 450r. I ride mx and know lots of people at the tracks. Everyone is having the same problem you are experiencing. There are many different aftermarket set-ups and they all still buck realy bad. The only thing you can do is slow your rebound down at the bottom of the rear shock. I think counter clock wise is slow and clock wise is fast. It is the black circle you see at the bottom of the shock that takes a flat head screwdriver. Be very careful when adjusting it (especialy if you are ramping) go a little ways and see what that does. One full turn makes a big difference. If its braking bumps your having trouble with learn to stand up and get as far back on the bike as you can. Hope this helps and have fun.

r u saying that none of the aftermarket setups cure the bucking ?

Yes and no. All the aftermarket set-ups will make it better but you will still notice the bucking more on this bike than any other. A resolution may eventually be found but for now nothing seems to be working.

r u talking with the stock swinger? I have heard people rave about the walsh setup.

The walsh set up is probably the best out there right now. I know a guy who has went through about four set ups already and he is now using the walsh. He said it's the best he's had so far but it still bucks a little too much in the braking bumps.
