i have a rear mudbuster tire on my 300ex that has had a slow leak for about a month now. While washing it today i finally found the hole -- thanx to the water bubbling -- and was wondering what you guys do when you need to plug a hole. I dont have enough money for a plug kit, let alone new tires. A riding buddy uses screws and just screws them into the tire. Is this a safe alternative and will it hold?

Thanks for any incite

take it to a gradge or something and ask them to plug it for you

there is no nearby garage -- closest is 45 minutes away and i dont have a ride or the moey to do it. Do you think the screw will hold? any other home remedies for a slow leak?

Can you not afford a $7 can of Fix-a-Flat? You can get it a Ace hardware. if it spray out the tire when u put it in, just put ur finger there for a few minutes. then it will dried up and ready to ride.

If the hole is small enough a screw will work. Put a little silicone on it first to help seal it in.

I did that before with my 300 4x4. It held good , until i just went and bought new tires (they were bald)
