I am looking to purchase a new piston for my wifes 400ex and am wandering if anyone has had experience with a
Honda 400EX Namura Tech. Std Bore Piston/Gasket Set Kit
Also what is the stock compression ratio on a 2000 400ex.
Thanks for any information that can be supplied.

havent heard anything about them, but the way i look at it, go ahead and spend the extra money on a wiseco, the piston is perhaps the most vital part in your engine, and can cause the most damage from a failure. i believe 400's have a stock compression ratio of 10.5:1,
Stock is like 9.2:1 or 9.3:1

400ex stock is 9.1:1

do yourself a favor and spend the extra 100 on a JE or Ross pistopn and xr400 top end gasket kit it will slightly raise your compression and make it a little better and with the JE and Ross pistons you can get a diff compression ratio piston if you would like the extra compression;)

I dont know if u guys have had any experience or even heard of Niks Pro-X pistons, but i got one in mine and its been great. I personally dont like wiseco, but that my opinion... blues right too... JE and Ross pistons are great too..

Last I checked Wiseco and JE are made by the same manufacturer, I believe Wiseco makes JE, or vise versa. I have never had a problem with Wiseco.
