first off will a 450r with a port and polish, TC cam, TC stainless valves, HMF pipe, 12:1 piston, and a vortex CDI pull as hard as a yfz with a pipe, piston, and cam mod?

Also, how much does a lightend flyweel help on the 450r? will it help to make the 450r pull like the yfz? What else can i do the the 450r motor to keep it reliable but pull extremely hard? im not as worried about top end though.

Sorry for all the questions, I sold my yfz and im debating between another yfz or a 450r for motocross. Thanks for any answers..

The honda is a lot different the yfz. The honda has a lot more low end. The yfz makes more power up top. My 450r has an hrc kit,
power now kit, chm exhaust, curtis sparks air filter kit. I just installed the pipe and power now last week and let me tell you this thing flies. My friend has yfz but i like the 450r better because he has had alot of problems. If you do all the stuff your saying to a 450r I think it will pull harder than the yamaha because the honda has more low end. I haven't heard anything about lightning the flywheel on the 450r. Honda builds good stuff but its totally up to you!

Don't forget about the FCR carb.

The FCR carb is seat of the pants throttle response, no HP gains. The CRF ignition on the other hand is night and day to the Vortex. The CRF ignition comes with a flywheel from 14oz, 17oz, 20oz, the 14 will pull crazy on the top but will stall if its lugged, the 20 will not stall as easy and be easier to lug around.
