what did i do?

i went riding all day today at a track and i put my quad back on the trailer and took it to a friends...about 30 after being at my friends i took it off the trailer and rode it down his driveway once i hit the road it just spuddered and died...i tryed to kick start it, no luck there.. then i tried to run start it.. i got it started and it runs but it just spudders at high rpms??? what happened and how can i fix it...??

Well it would help if you said what type of quad it was on. From the sounds of it, I am guessing your main jet fell out. It happened to me on my 300ex.

its on a 250x

Well, you said that it sputters at high RPM's, so I would bet that the main jet fell out. I have heard of this a lot on 300/250x's.

when you pull the carb out ..see if it is clogged sounds like trash in there..

Haha it happened to me a while back, I just couldn't figure it out. After a friend and I installed an exhaust on my 400 and jetted it I took it for a ride down the street. Anything over 3/4 throttle would act like it was bouncing off the rev limiter. Then my quad just died out and locked the rears. It was a biatch to get started again too since it was basically flooded with fuel (making it bog). I opened up the float bowl and there was the main jet layin there :p
