Had the same exact car! Electron blue is the best color. Sold it last year to make way for the GTO and then for the new zo6 as well. You will have fun with that!

It is a Z06. it is only C5, not a c6. The brake vents are a dead giveaway to a z06.

I bought it used. A family friend (in his late 60's) bought it brand new in 2003. His wife just died from cancer a few months ago and it depressed him still owning the car since he couldn't cruise with his wife anymore. I couldn't stand to see it sold to a stranger so I scooped it up. It only has a tick over 3k on the odometer.

Did you get rid of the Z71 for it? Hell no, the Z71 is staying until the wheels fall off it (or a I buy a quad cab D-Max:D). The truck is still my primary run-around.

Take the traction control off and let her ripl, few years back we had a 1999, black with a tan top and interior some of the go-fast goodies like exhaust and intake, it ran like a bat out of hell. That Z06 should really move!

Is it a 6 speed or a auto? The autos arent as much fun to drive :(

I'm not that knowledgeable on the LS1 platform, but I'd sure hope that Chevrolet would only make the Z06 in stick...

maybe a C-5 convertible, but not a Z-06 convertible!! They dont make Z-06 convertibles... btw z400 guy, you will be very happy with the car, we used to have one, and the thing was like no other car ive ever driven... i've driven an 03 viper and i personally like the z-06 better... so have fun, but be careful with all that power and suspension!!!

i was gonna buy a C5 vette a few months ago, but decided to go for 2 wheels instead.

im sure your gonna love that Z06, it seems like an awesome ride. :bandit:

I would not suggest lowering it like someone stated above. You will regret it. I did it to my zo6 and could not even come out of a parking lot without scrapping against the ground zo6's are to low to start with to lower you will hit everything plus the ride will be much more bumpier.

i got a blue c6 i can e-mail the pics if someone will post them I will send them to you

Guy400

I'm not lowering it, adding cams, exhaust, etc. This car is staying bone stock unless Lingenfelter Performance calls me offering a free twin-turbo upgrade.

parkers30
04-11-2005, 09:27 PM
the Ligenfelter TT vettes are awesome but quite spendy, can't beat them in a straight line for the same money though

I'm leaving this car bone stock. When you start putting modifications on these cars the value plummets. I only plan on keeping it for a couple years and then selling it. I know if I was out used Vette shopping I'd rather buy the totally stock ZO6 with 3k miles than a Vette with unknown modifications. When I bought my LT1 Z28 I bought a stock one because when guys started telling me about the modifications they've done I started to worry about how well was the job done, are the mods even real, etc.

Totally acceptable.

But - you don't even want to put an air filter and a cat-back on it? You can always save the stock parts man and throw them in your shed or garage. I have all my stock parts for my car, then when I sell it I'm putting all the stock parts back on it. Just an idea for ya.

Yeah I am keeping stock parts for my 05 but soon it will be superchared, pipes ,intercooler ,and intake system.

Guy: Sounds like you've got a plan, sorry I posted that below you, I didn't read a few posts up.

Anyway; to the person that asked if it's a LeMans edition, no, the LeMans edition has a carbon fiber hood and trunk, painted to match the car, then two racing stripes down the middle of the car (red outlines, white stripes.)

cause that thing might get dented up at hatfield, maybe you can jack up the suspension a bit to get some better ground clearance. :eek2:

Yea i had ground clearance issues with mine, But like i said i lower it. If you think that thing is low, my brother just got an 01 Viper GTS. That thing is just plain nuts. The front bumper is like 2 inches off the ground.
